Makers Day Press Release
VINELAND -- NJ Makers Day's goal is to enhance community engagement and develop connections among New Jersey residents by collaborating with multi-type libraries, museums and small businesses to promote and explore new opportunities for entrepreneurship, innovation and hands on learning experiences.
The Make & Move Club Inc, a Vineland-based non-profit organization devoted to making a difference in the community through STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) and play and fitness, are partnering with the Boys & Girls Club of Vineland, the Department of Health and Exercise Science of Rowan University, and the Vineland Public Library to host an event for NJ Makers Day on Saturday, March 19 at the Vineland Public Library from 10:30 a.m. to noon.
Children ages 5 to 12 are invited to enjoy a variety of stations to spark creativity and stimulate STEM learning, including a Creativity Station (with Legos), a Chemistry Station, an Electronics Station, an Engineering Station, an Art/Chemistry Station, and a Physics Station.
Rowan University Department of Health and Exercise Science students from the Sport Science K-20 and Exercise is Medicine programs will receive valuable experience by volunteering their time to connect with youth in the Vineland community.
Make & Move Club welcomes the opportunity for all of these organizations to partner over a shared goal of promoting community connections and STEM outreach. To learn more about NJ Makers Day visit njmakersday.org or Make & Move Club visit www.makemoveclub.org.
