First annual girls’ empowerment summit to provide leadership development, learning opportunities for local youth
Registration now open for March 11 event
WHAT: Calling all future leaders! Empowerment and leadership will be the topics of discussion at the first annual Yes! For Girls Leadership on March 11, 2017 at Cumberland County Technical School.
Registration is free and open to girls ages 14-19. The summit is a program of the Make & Move Club, a nonprofit that provides at-risk youth with opportunities to build the skills needed to be successful in the 21st century and exposure to STEM career paths.
The summit will feature more than a dozen women leaders, who will share their experiences on climbing the ladder, overcoming challenges, setting goals, achieving success and more.
Youth interested in attending can register online at http://www.yesforgirls.com/. Registration includes a free event t-shirt, light breakfast, lunch and networking opportunities. Registration is open through March 11 but must be completed by February 25 to guarantee preferred t-shirt size.
